Paradise Salsa Dance
This DJ'ed salsa dance is held every Tuesday at the Paradise Ballroom located at 826 SE
Belmont. Admission is $5 and includes a free lesson from 7:30-8:30. The dance runs from
8:30pm - 12:30am. Look for the 1-story building with the word "Paradise" written on top of
the front glass door. There's a parking lot surrounded by chain link fence to the left of the
building. Non-alcaholic beverages are available for $1.
RJ Dance Studio in Salem
This social dance is open to the public every Tuesday from 8-10pm at RJ Dance Studio in
Salem. The dance is located at the Pearce Ballroom at 317 Court Street NE in downtown
Salem. The ballroom is next door to "Great Harvest Bread," and above the "Academy of
Hair Design."

Pionner Community Center Big Band Dance
Every Wednesday afternoon from 12:45-3pm you can enjoy live music and dances like the
rumba, cha cha, and tango at the Pioneer Community Center (615 5th Street between John
Adams and Washington in Oregon City). Today's live music is the Swing Street Glenn
Tadina Big Band. Admission is only $5. Expect a mature crowd.
Vancouver Elks Club
Every Wednesday 7 p.m. until 11 p.m. the Vancouver Elk's hosts a ballroom dance at their
club located at 11605 SE McGillivray Blvd. This event is open to the public. Admission is $5

THURSDAYS
Holiday Inn Airport "Flirts Lounge" 8 p.m.
Flirts is a nightclub located at the Portland airports "Holiday Inn." The room can be smoky
but the floor is reasonably sized for a bar. The DJ does requests (sometimes you have to
ask many times), but his music selection is limited to the 70's, 80's, 90's, and current hits.
Paradise Argentine Tango
This DJ'ed Milonga is held every Thursday 8:30pm-12:30am at the Paradise Ballroom
located at 826 SE Belmont. Admission is $5 for adults and includes a free lesson with Polly
from 7:30-8:30. Look for the 1-story building with the word "Paradise" written on top of the
front glass door. There's a parking lot surrounded by chain link fence to the left of the
building. Non-alcaholic beverages are available for $1.

USA Dance College Night at Paradise
USA Dance is a nationwide non-profit dedicated to the promotion of amateur ballroom
dancing. They host a public dance party the first Saturday of each month at the Paradise
Ballroom located at 826 SE Belmont . Look for a 1-story building with the word "Paradise"
on top of the front glass doors. There is a small parking lot surrounded by chain link fence
to the left of the building. Admission is only $5, and includes a lesson! Non-alcaholic
beverages are available for $1. Please note: this event is NO LONGER held at the Dekum
Ballroom in NE Portland!
Admission is $6 and includes a free lesson from 7:30-8:30pm. Music is mostly DJ'ed,
upbeat latin with ballroom plus requests.
Oregon City Fancy Feet Dance
Fancy Feet Grand Ballroom is located on the top floor of the Oregon City Elk's Club at 610
McLoughlin Blvd. The dance runs from 7:30-11pm. Admission is $10.
Strut Your Stuff Dance Club
If you enjoy lindy this is the dance for you! Strut Your Stuff is a local swing dance club
which hosts public dances the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month. A free swing lesson
runs from 7:30-8:30, and the dance runs from 8:30-11pm. Strut Your Stuff holds it's
dances at the "Norse Hall," located at 111 NE 11th Avenue, Portland, OR 97232. Look for
the large red neon sign on the side of the building which reads "Dance Tonight." Admission
is $8 for adults, $5 for students. Admission varies for special occasions or when they
feature live music.
USABDA Dance
USABDA is the United States Amateur Ballroom Dancers Association. This is a national
non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of ballroom dance. The local
"Willamette Chapter" hosts a monthly dance which includes a free lesson. The dance runs
from 8-11pm, and costs $7 for members, $10 for non-members, and $3 for students.
Admission includes a free lesson from 7-8pm. USABDA dances are currently held at the
Scottish Rite Temple at 1512 SW Morrison in downtown Portland. Look for the big white
building next to the Max tracks.
